"A bit hit or miss if timing matters"
I booked through stenaline.ie and, once again, the ferry was delayed. The times seemed to keep shifting and the updates weren’t exactly clear, so I was left guessing for ages. I ended up missing my plans when I got to the other side, it didn’t feel like anyone was too bothered about it. I know delays can happen, but with them it feels a bit hit or miss, especially when you need to be somewhere on time. I wouldn’t really rely on them for anything important.

"I got annoyed quickly with how..."
I got annoyed quickly with how much this ended up costing. The trip itself was basic, but the price was high, and then all the extras started piling on. Even the food onboard was overpriced. For what you actually get, it just doesn’t feel like good value at all. I wouldn’t bother again and I’d definitely look elsewhere next time.

"Booking was fine, but check-in wasted my time and energy"
Booking was easy enough, but the check-in process was awful. It took forever, and by the time it was done I felt like I’d wasted so much energy just standing around waiting. Not a great start to the stay

"Customer service was poor"
I booked through Stena Line and needed to contact customer service to change a ticket, and it felt like I was being forced to practice patience against my will. It took ages to get a proper reply, and when the first response finally came through, it didn’t really answer anything useful.
When I eventually got hold of someone, they came across like they just wanted to get rid of me and end the chat. The ferry itself was fine, no real complaints there, but the support side was stressful and unfriendly. I’d only use them again if I really didn’t have another option.

"Dirty seats and felt a bit sketchy"
The seats were dirty and the whole space felt cramped, so it wasn’t very comfortable. I also got that uneasy feeling like there might be extra fees popping up somewhere, which didn’t help the experience...
